Guidelines for the Setting of Classes in Years 8 & 9 (Forms 2 & 3) in English for Scholastic

The Directorate for Learning and Assessment Programmes (DLAP) is providing guidelines for the setting of classes in English, Maltese and Mathematics in Years 8 & 9 (Forms 2 & 3), taking into consideration the standardized scores of the Annual Examination in Year 7 and 8 (Forms 1 and 2). Heads of Schools are encouraged to consult the Heads of Departments of these subjects if available or teachers concerned when dealing with border line students. Heads of School are encouraged to consider other relevant factors related to the learner’s needs and known to the Head of School, prior to applying the guidelines mentioned.
