GOZO LIVE Award Ceremony

For the 3rd consecutive year, Gozo Live, a non-governmental and voluntary educational organisation, run by Ms Barbara Day, celebrated Gozo’s young writers. A total of 208 entries from 14 different schools in Gozo were submitted all of which were applauded on Friday 8th June 2018 at the Gozo College Middle School.

During this event, fantastic prizes were won including a 100 euro book voucher for the winners. During the event, a number of young participants showcased their talent by performing plays written by themselves whilst some recited their own poetry the themes of which were fairy tales with a twist and culture respectively.

This was done in the presence of the Honourable Minister for Gozo Dr Justyne Caruana, Mr Gaetano Bugeja, Director of Learning and Assessment Programmes, Ms Sandra Ebejer, Assistant Director, Heads of Schools, Heads of Department, parents and other fellow students.

This writing competition celebrates creativity in writing and finished by announcing the next annual writing competition, sponsored by EcoGozo, the deadline of which is April 2019. For further information, please contact Ms Barbara Day (gozolive2018@gmail.com).
